About Sonny Gardens
Welcome to Sonny Gardens
Sonny Gardens is a family business established in 2016 by Sonny Brown and Penny Forster- Brown to provide a flexible domestic landscape garden service in mid Norfolk.
Before starting up the business Sonny gained qualifications and experience in horticulture by being a trainee heritage gardener with placements at Holkham estate, National trust Peckover and Gressenhall rural life museum.
Sonny has City and guilds NPTC and diploma qualifications in Horticulture, Landscaping and tree surgery. Use of Pesticide applications PA1 and PA6. City and guilds level 2 brickwork. Sonny also gained experience working for established Tree and Landscaping companies.
Penny has been a self- employed gardener since 2011 and has managed many garden and planting projects from conception to completion.
Penny has gained a distinction at level 3 BTEC in Horticulture and garden design.

Penny and Sonny have been working tirelessly on our 1-acre garden for the last 4 years. When we bought the house, the garden was a wild mass of bushes and decaying fruit trees. They have transformed it into a beautiful space adding a vegetable patch and orchard. Sonny did a superb job of installing a new fence as well as building a wonderful pergola where we can sit underneath and enjoy the garden during warmer months.
Penny has transformed the overgrown flower beds choosing beautiful and appropriate flowers and plants. Penny is full of wonderful creative ideas and has been an absolute marvel in the design and ongoing upkeep of our garden.
As this is our second home, we are not always there and have complete confidence in both Penny and Sonny to look after our garden as if it was their own. They are both extremely hardworking, honest and conscientious and we are very lucky to have them as part of our lovely cottage.
